On National Press Day, Dr Farooq applauds J&K Journalists’ courage, commitment

Srinagar, Nov 16: On the occasion of National Press Day, President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr Farooq Abdullah extends warm greetings and deep appreciation to the journalist fraternity of Jammu & Kashmir and the entire nation, acknowledging the vital role journalists play in upholding a free, fair, and responsible press, which remains a cornerstone of a vibrant democracy.

He commended the courage and resilience shown by journalists in Jammu and Kashmir, who continue to work with dedication despite challenging and sensitive circumstances. He expressed solidarity with media professionals and recognized their unwavering commitment to truth, public awareness, and the preservation of democratic values, said a press release.
