On Constitution Day, Dr Farooq calls for upholding constitutional ideals

Srinagar, Nov 27: On the occasion of Constitution Day, also observed as National Law Day, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Dr Farooq Abdullah extended his greetings to the people of the nation and paid rich tributes to the framers of the Constitution of India, said a party press release.

Dr Farooq said that the Constitution of India stands as one of the world’s most flexible, democratic, and vibrant documents, embodying within it the vast diversity, cultural richness, and pluralistic spirit of the country. He noted that the Constitution has not only guided India’s democratic journey but has also ensured that the voices of all regions, religions, and communities are heard and protected.

Highlighting its enduring relevance, Dr Farooq said, “The Indian Constitution is a living document dynamic in nature, adaptable to change, and reflective of the aspirations of over a billion citizens. Its strength lies in its inclusivity and its unwavering commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.”
