Omar has proven his mettle: NC

Srinagar, Oct 19: The National Conference (NC) on Saturday hit out at critics who were claiming that the Chief Minister in a Union Territory is nothing more than a “rubber stamp.”

Talking to Greater Kashmir, NC chief spokesman Tanvir Sadiq said, “Within a few days after taking over as chief minister, Omar Abdullah has proven his mettle. He has shown assertiveness. He has rescinded lots of orders. He has shown his way of working. This proves that when others are looking for excuses our chief minister is on the job.”

Taking a dig at People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti, Sadiq said, “When J&K was a state, Madam Mufti couldn’t run it. Omar Sahab within a short time has shown his competency. Those who used to claim that CM of a UT would be nothing more than a rubber stamp have been left speechless.”
