In a statement,  he said Omar wants  to exploit the communal sentiments rather than addressing the genuine intent of the CAA.

The senior BJP stalwart emphasised that the implementation of the CAA is not based on any religious bias, but solely on the principles of justice and humanitarianism. He stated, "It is disappointing to see that Omar is trying to create division by alleging that the CAA targets Muslims. The CAA is a legislation that aims to provide refuge and support to persecuted minorities from neighboring countries. It is not based on religion but rather on humanitarian grounds."

“Contrary to Omar Abdullah's claims, the BJP has always been inclusive and has worked towards the welfare of all communities. The party's intentions are focused on the well-being and progress of the nation as a whole, without any bias or prejudice,” he added.
