Omar Abdullah to address 3 strategic rallies in Jammu ahead of final phase in J-K polls
Srinagar, Sept 25: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) president and former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state Omar Abdullah is said to address three major public rallies in the Jammu province on Friday (Sept 27).
These rallies are part of his campaign for the ongoing elections to J-K Legislative Assembly which will see its final phase on October 1. In the last phase, 40 seats will go to polls including, Bandipora, Kupwara, Baramulla in Kashmir and Udhampur, Jammu, Samba, and Kathua in Jammu province.
In an official communique, the JKNC said that the rallies would take place in Udhampur East, Vijaypur, and Jammu North constituencies.
It said that these rallies while marking an important phase in JKNC's campaign strategy, through them, the Vice President aims to "directly connect with the electorate."
Omar would offer solutions to regional challenges and reiterate party's stand on the decisions of the central government taken on and after August 5, 2019, the communique said.
Giving details about these rallies, the communique said, Abdullah's first rally will be held at HD Palace in Dehma, Block Khoon, Udhampur East (Constituency No. 60) at 11:30 am in support of JKNC candidate for Udhampur East, Sunil Verma.
Following this, the second rally will be conducted at Aureum Grand Hotel in Thandi Khui, Vijaypur (Constituency No. 71) at 2:00 pm in support of Rajesh Pargotra, JKNC candidate for Vijaypur Assembly constituency.
The final rally will take place in Jammu North (Constituency No. 79) at Thathar, near Radha Swami Ashram at 3:30 pm in support of NC candidate Ajay Kumar Sadhotra for Jammu North Assembly segment, read the communique.
