Old Gagribal residents seek safety measures for HT wires

Srinagar, July 7: Residents of Old Gagribal area here have sought safety measures for HT wires passing to Receiving Station in the area.

A delegation of residents said HT wire near the Receiving Station pass close to trees and face frequent short-circuits during rains and winds.

“We appeal to the PDD authorities to conduct a safety audit of these HT wires. PDD can install safety plastic nets beneath the HT wires or places these wires underground to prevent any mishap. We have moving from pillar to post but to no avail. We make a fervent appeal to Member Parliament Srinagar Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi to take up the issue with concerned authorities,” they added.
