Despite Azmatullah Omarzai’s impressive unbeaten 97 for Afghanistan, the team fell short of a competitive total, finishing at 244 all out after 50 overs.
Omarzai’s impactful innings, just 3 runs short of a century, showcased his resilience. South African pacer Gerald Coetzee played a pivotal role, claiming 4 wickets to keep the Afghan batters in check.
During Afghanistan’s innings, Azamatullah Omarzai reached his half-century amid the team losing wickets.
With 7 wickets down at 160, Noor Ahmad joined Omarzai at the crease, as Afghanistan aimed to set a target of around 250 runs.
