NTTA, NLCO commend administration for hosting Kashmir Marathon

Srinagar, Oct 20: The Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) and Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO) today expressed their gratitude for the successful execution of the Kashmir Marathon, an event that drew participants from around the world.

Chairman Manzoor Wangnoo commended the administration, particularly highlighting the Chief Secretary and the Department of Tourism's instrumental role in orchestrating the event. "This marathon has successfully placed Jammu & Kashmir on the global marathon map, marking a significant milestone for our region's sports tourism," said Wangnoo.

In a collaborative effort, NTTA and NLCO partnered with team BEI to provide refreshment stations for spectators throughout the race route. BEI students demonstrated exemplary Kashmiri hospitality by enthusiastically cheering runners near Nishat Garden and Foreshore Road, inspiring local youth through their involvement.

"The dedication of our members and volunteers from both NTTA and NLCO was remarkable," Wangnoo noted. "Their collective effort not only ensured the event's success but also showcased our community's commitment to promoting tourism and healthy living in Kashmir."

Looking ahead, Chairman Wangnoo expressed optimism about future initiatives: "We eagerly anticipate hosting more such international events that showcase our valley's potential as a premier tourist destination."
