NSE’s new Bull sculpture and the coffee table book serve as significant symbols in India’s capital markets journey. Today, India is the fifth largest economy and has the fourth largest capital market globally, with NSE being the largest stock exchange in the world by activity in terms of the number of orders and trades. This achievement reflects India’s capacity to establish and sustain world-class institutions that align with the nation’s economic aspirations and the vision of a developed India, or “Viksit Bharat,” as articulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Governor Radhakrishnan expressed his appreciation for the initiative, stating, “I am happy to inaugurate the statue of NSE’s Bull and the Coffee Table Book. The Bull, a symbol of financial strength and upward momentum, is deeply rooted in stock market history. What makes this sculpture unique is the inclusion of figures around it, representing the diverse participants in India’s progress. NSE is not just a financial institution; it is a symbol of India’s growth and aspirations. Without NSE’s role, there is no Viksit Bharat.”

Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of NSE, added, “The NSE Bull reflects the symbiotic and virtuous relationship between ‘Samaj’ (society) and ‘Bazaar’ (market). Thirty years ago, the stock market was not accessible to the common people. With the advent of automated, screen-based trading at NSE, the market reached all corners of the country, and today, NSE has over 10 crore unique investors registered with the exchange.”
