Nothing more favourable for BJP than to continue central rule in J&K: Omar on Rashid's statehood plan

Srinagar, Oct 7: JKNC vice president and former chief minister of the erstwhile state, Omar Abdullah flouted AIP chief Engineer Rashid's remarks on unitedly demanding statehood for J&K.

The member of Parliament (MP) and former MLA, Er Rasheed, earlier on Monday said all regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir should unite and demand the restoration of statehood.

Quoting a video of Rashid, Omar said, the BJP would like nothing more than to extend central rule in J&K.

"The man goes to Delhi for 24 hours and comes back to play straight in to the hands of the BJP. The BJP would like nothing more than to extend central rule in J&K if they aren’t in a position to form a government," Omar wrote on his official handle.
