Noted pulmonologist Dr Rafi Ahmed Jan bereaved

Srinagar, Mar 09: Dr. Rafi Ahmed Jan, noted pulmonologist and former Head of the Department of Internal and Pulmonary Medicine at SKIMS Srinagar, has suffered a personal loss with the passing of his father-in-law, Ghulam Nabi Farooqi, who breathed his last in the early hours of March 9.

The Namaz-e-Janaza was held at at Rawalpora High School.

Dr jan is currently  working as professor chest medicine GMC Anantnag.

The medical fraternity and civil society have expressed deep sorrow over the demise, extending condolences to the bereaved family.

The congregational Fateha Khawani will be held on the fourth day at Pandan Malarata graveyard, near Patwan Masjid, on Wednesday, March 12, at 11:00 AM. A Taziyati Majlis will  follow  at  Dr Jan's residence, Rawalpora, Srinagar.

The bereaved family includes daughters, sons-in-law Dr. Rafia Jan & noted filmamker Abdul Rafia Fazili, and grandchildren.
