Noted Pathologist Dr A R Khan felicitated on release of globally-acclaimed book

Srinagar, Dec 13: Veteran pathologist Dr A R Khan was felicitated on the occasion that saw release of his majorly acclaimed academic work titled “Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology of Paragangliomas,” which has received recognition both in India and abroad.

APCON 2025, the 73rd Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM), held on December 4, 2025, at Government Medical College, Jammu saw the felicitation taking place. Notably, there has been a huge response to the book for its contribution to diagnostic pathology, especially in the field of cytology.

Dr Khan’s work has the reputation of being a significant reference for pathologists and medical professionals dealing with complex paraganglioma cases, strengthening diagnostic precision and academic research. Earlier, Dr Khan was also honoured with the Life Time Achievement Award by the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists in recognition of his outstanding contributions to pathology. The award was conferred on December 12, 2024, at Cuttack in Odisha. Colleagues and members of the medical fraternity have described Dr Khan’s achievements as a matter of pride, highlighting his long-standing dedication to medical education, research, and clinical excellence.
