‘Not in his nature to be nasty’: Omar Abdullah defends Rahul Gandhi after BJP claims he pushed MP
Srinagar, Dec 19: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday came to the defense of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi after BJP claimed that he pushed their member.
“I know Rahul, he would not push anyone much less a member of parliament. It’s simply not in his nature to be rude or nasty to anyone,” Omar said on X, while reposting a video in which BJP MP Chandra Sarangi said that he was hurt after Rahul Gandhi pushed a member who fell on him.

Sarangi claimed that he was standing on stairs when another member of Parliament fell on him, leading to an injury on his head.
However, Rahul denied the allegation and said that he was trying to get inside the Parliament when he was also pushed and threatened by the BJP MPs who were protesting near the entrance. He also alleged that Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge was also pushed.
Meanwhile, both Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput have been admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and are being treated for their injuries.
