Srinagar, May 2: In a demonstration of support and appreciation for the efforts of the troops stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, Army Commander of the Northern Command (NC), Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar visited frontline units in the Gurez sector of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Thursday.

Accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, Lt Gen Kumar conducted a comprehensive review of the anti-infiltration and counter-terrorism grid in the sector. During his visit, Lt Gen Kumar lauded the operational readiness displayed by the troops despite the challenging conditions they face.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining a high state of morale, especially in the face of extreme weather and challenging terrain. The visit underscored the Army's unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region.
