This year, the security apparatus has been significantly bolstered to counter any untoward incidents. One of the notable initiatives includes a Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Mock Exercise conducted by the Chinar Corps troops on Saturday.

The exercise, held near the Amarnath Cave shrine, was aimed at preparing the security personnel for any eventualities, ensuring the safety of the yatris.

The Counter-IED Mock Exercise was a detailed simulation, replicating potential scenarios that could pose a threat to the yatra.

This exercise is part of a broader strategy to enhance the operational readiness of the troops, focusing on preemptive measures and swift response capabilities. The 15 Corps has been at the forefront of these efforts, working closely with other security agencies to create a robust security grid.
