Northern Commander emphasises on need for strategically important infrastructure
Jammu, Aug 27: The Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma has emphasised on the strategically important infrastructure required in Northern Command areas of Indian Army. He also discussed about the critical part “Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti” scheme can play in it. Lt Gen Sharma, who is heading strategically important Northern Command of Indian Army, was addressing during a two days seminar conducted at Northern Command which was first-ever Regional Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti and Defence Works Seminar.
It started on August 26 and concluded on August 27 with senior army officers and other representatives and officers were present in it.
The seminar, army said, marked a pivotal step towards integrated infrastructure development and enhanced defence preparedness. Indian Army further stated that while delivering the keynote address, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, emphasised on the strategically important infrastructure required in Northern theatre and the critical part PMGS can play in it, he added.
