Northern Army Commander on maiden visit to Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 22:  Northern Army Commander, Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar during his maiden visit to Kashmir met the troops at forward posts in north Kashmir and paid homage to the fallen soldiers at Chinar War Memorial.

This is the first visit of Lt Gen Kumar after assuming charge as Northern Army Commander this week.

Besides paying homage to the fallen soldiers at the Chinar War Memorial, Lt Gen Kumar interacted with troops and senior officials, emphasising the importance of their role in maintaining peace and security in Kashmir.

He praised the troops for their dedication and urged them to continue working with utmost zeal and professionalism.

The Army Commander accompanied by Chinar Corps Commander and GOC Vajra Division interacted with troops and lauded them for high morale and round-the-clock vigil. He urged them to continue working with utmost zeal and dedication.#DhruvaCommand#IndianArmy@adgpi @PRODefSrinagar,” Northern Command -Indian Army said in another post on X.

The Northern Army Commander, accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai and the GOC Vajra Division, visited troops stationed in sensitive areas of the Kupwara district.

During the visit, he interacted with the troops and commended them for their high morale and round-the-clock vigilance in ensuring their safety and security.

The Northern Army Commander praised the troops for their dedication and urged them to continue working with utmost zeal and dedication.

He emphasised the importance of their role in maintaining peace and security in Kashmir and expressed confidence in their abilities to overcome any challenges that may arise.

The troops, in turn, reaffirmed their commitment to their duty and pledged to continue serving with dedication and valour.
