Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma reviews security situation in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 19: Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation and operational preparedness in the Kashmir Valley.
The review comes at a time when counter-terror operations have been significantly intensified across the region. Lt Gen Sharma lauded the exemplary courage and professionalism displayed by the troops in executing successful operations under challenging conditions. He highlighted the importance of maintaining an offensive posture and stressed the need to dominate both the physical and cognitive battlespaces through proactive and pre-emptive measures.
Reaffirming the Army’s commitment to national security, he urged all formations to remain vigilant and mission-ready, underscoring that any attempt to disrupt peace in the Valley will be met with a swift and decisive response.
