Srinagar, April 16: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that "nobody has the guts to raise slogans for Pakistan and that only “Bharat Mata ki Jai' slogans can be heard in Jammu and Kashmir."

Addressing a poll rally in Jammu, Shah, as per news agency KNS said that Mehbooba Mufti had said that if Article-370 is removed then nobody will be left to raise the tricolour in Jammu and Kashmir, but "she needs to understand that the tricolour is immortal and will always stay," Shah said.

He said that Article 370 was scrapped and the tricolour still flies with pride and glory in Jammu and Kashmir.

While launching a scathing attack at the opposition, he asked the people of Jammu and Kashmir not to vote in favour of the Congress, National Conference and the People’s Democratic Party as they have exploited them.

He also hinted at not fielding the BJP candidates in three Kashmir Lok Sabha seats, stating that the party was not in a hurry to see lotus bloom in the Kashmir Valley.

He further said that if someone has benefitted more during the 10 years of PM Modi's government, it’s the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“There was a time when stone pelting, blasts and sinister shadow of Article 370 loomed over Jammu and Kashmir. Today, it has been scrapped. Now the youths have laptops in their hands instead of stones,” he said.

He also said that under PM Modi's leadership, the BJP gave reservations to Gujjar, Pahari, Bakarwal, OBC, Dalits and women and that J&K is touching new heights of development.
