No words are strong enough to condemn Gagangeer terror attack: Hoteliers Club
Srinagar, Oct 21: In a strongly worded statement, the Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club has condemned the recent terrorist attack on workers of a construction company working on the crucial Z-Morh tunnel project. The attack resulted in the tragic loss of seven lives, including that of a doctor from Budgam.
The incident, which occurred on October 20, has sent shockwaves through the local community and the hospitality industry. The Z-Morh tunnel is a strategically important infrastructure project that aims to improve connectivity between Srinagar and Leh, and the attack on the workers has been widely condemned as a cowardly and senseless act of violence.
"No words are strong enough to condemn Gagangeer terror attack. We are deeply saddened and outraged by this heinous attack on innocent workers who were contributing to the development of our region," said Mushtaq Chaya, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club. "Our hearts go out to the families of the victims, and we stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time."
The club has called upon the authorities to thoroughly investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice. They have also urged the government to take necessary measures to enhance the security of construction sites and workers across Jammu and Kashmir.
"The tourism industry in Jammu and Kashmir is the backbone of our economy, and any attack on the workers or infrastructure projects directly affects our livelihood," Chaya added. "We appeal to the government to ensure the safety and security of all individuals involved in the development of our region, so that we can continue to build a prosperous future for our people."
The Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club has also expressed its condolences to the family of the doctor from Budgam who lost his life in the attack. The club has emphasised the importance of safeguarding the lives of healthcare professionals and other essential workers who are contributing to the welfare of the community.
