No water tax, meters: Sagar
Srinagar, Feb 1: National Conference (NC) General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Advocate Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar, has strongly refuted the baseless rumours regarding the installation of water meters or the imposition of a water tax by the government, a press release said.
Speaking at the party headquarters today, he assured the public that no such decision has been made and urged people not to believe false information.
“Over the past decade, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have endured severe financial crises, facing hardships and numerous problems. The party remains deeply concerned about the struggles of the common people and is committed to working towards their relief and betterment, ”he said.
The Omar Abdullah-led government stands firm on its commitment to fulfilling all promises outlined in the party manifesto. The leadership is dedicated to implementing policies that promote development, stability, and prosperity for the region, he added.
Sagar also emphasised the need for administrative officers to work efficiently and responsibly to address public concerns. He urged them to ensure smooth governance and prioritize the welfare of the people.
