Jammu, Dec 13: Inspector General, Border Security Force (BSF) Jammu, D.K. Boora Friday said that there is no alarming situation along the International Border (IB) in Jammu as the force is maintaining a continuous vigil to prevent any illegal crossings, particularly from Bangladeshi nationals.

Speaking at a press conference in Jammu to mark the 60th anniversary of the BSF, Boora as per news gathering agency KINS, praised the force’s remarkable growth, expanding from just 25 battalions to 193, securing its place as one of the most capable and efficient border security forces worldwide.

He underscored the BSF’s crucial role in ensuring national security, both during peacetime and in conflict, reinforcing its status as a formidable force in global border defense.

“Over the last six decades, the BSF has evolved into a global leader in border security,” Boora stated. “We are fully equipped to face modern security challenges, including state-of-the-art anti-drone systems. Our coordination with the Indian Army along the Line of Control (LoC) is essential in preventing security breaches, such as drone droppings.”

Boora further assured that the BSF is well-prepared to address emerging threats with cutting-edge technology, strategic planning, and effective coordination. "We have developed a robust system to tackle every security challenge, and our commitment to protecting Jammu’s borders remains resolute," he added.

The IG highlighted the force’s professionalism, resilience, and use of advanced surveillance systems, including anti-drone technology, to stay ahead of potential threats.
