No significant weather activity in J&K till Aug 31: MeT

Srinagar, Aug 23: Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Friday predicted no significant weather activity in Jammu and Kashmir till August 31.

A MeT department said that from August 23^rd to 25^th there is nothing significant weather activity predicted, but brief spell of rain and thundershower at few places may occur.

It said from August 26^th to 28^th there is a possibility of light to moderate rain/thundershower at scattered to fairly widespread places of Jammu and Kashmir.

From August 29^th to 31^st there is a possibility of brief spell of rain/thundershower at isolated places of J&K.

The department while issuing advisory said that there is a possibility of intense showers for a brief period at few places with heavy rain at isolated places of Jammu division during August 26^th & 27^th.

It also predicted flashfloods, landslides, mudslides and shooting stones over vulnerable places.
