No significant weather activity in J-K till Jan 4: MeT
Srinagar, Dec 25: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar Wednesday forecast no significant weather activity in J&K till January 4, 2025. However it simultaneously stated the possibility of light rains and snow over isolated and higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.
The MeT continued that cold wave to continue at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir during next two days.
From December 25-26, the weather will likely remain dry, an official said.
He said from 27-28 there is a possibility of generally cloudy with light rains over plains of Jammu, and light snow over higher reaches of Chenab valley and Pir Panchal range.
The official said that from Dec 29-31, the weather conditions likely to remain dry.
From January 1-2, there will be generally cloudy with light snow at isolated places, while as from January 3-4 there is a possibility of cloudy weather with light snow at isolated to scattered places of Jammu & Kashmir, the official continued.
He said that cold wave conditions will likely to continue at isolated places during next two days, and added, in view of sub-freezing temperature and icy conditions over important passes and higher reaches, the tourists, travelers and transporters are advised to follow advisories of administration and traffic department to avoid inconvenience.
