It did not sweep the valley due to swelling of Jehlum, prompted by heavy rains nor did it come as a natural calamity where humans can only surrender, it seems to have roasted for a long, left unattended in the frying pan and kept burning the precious health.

The Valley bestowed with natural serene landscape has been cradling the legacy of culinary delicacies of Mughals and other rulers, the fragrance of which emanate throughout the globe, the hallmark now rotten by the inviolable.

The seizure of thousands of kilograms of rotten mutton, chicken and other items has haunted not only the Valley but across. Is it fair to punish us with the horrible food, even the criminals could not be made subject.

The vile forces are not bothered to breach the command of Almighty, with their only aim siphoning of money by all means and ways. The punitive food served deserves stringent laws ranging from jail to even death penalty, as the act committed is no different from that of illicit trafficking of drugs, which has bearing on the precious lives.

Rotten also explains the authorities at the helm have not become conscious for a regular and routine checks; how come the tools meant for slaughtering human-feed have reached the human neck.

The ‘Drug’ & ‘Food’ should not be alien to each other for authorities. The crisis seems to have been ranging from not caring about the quality being served to the food-lovers. It is not fair to visit a person’s grave for Fateh Khawani, rather to prevent his death should be the purpose. Every food lover cannot peep into every cuisine nor can he keep an eagles view on the supply chain.

The high incidence and prevalence of diseases in the Valley should not be seen through the prism of health issues only, rather should always prompt the vast research to reach its root cause.

The clerics also have moral responsibility to frighten the monsters about the breach of trust and repercussions from the Supreme Power. The more the adulteration was widely discouraged and considered unethical across various faiths, the guiltier is being committed.

The systemic overhaul is inevitable, should every pedestrian be able to fetch a license to operate a restaurant or food outlet without any schooling; given the emerging challenges confronted by gullible people. The buck needs to be stopped as it shall have very disastrous impact on the health of our society.
