No rift within party, says Ruhullah, asserts govt will deliver on its promises
Srinagar, Oct 16: Member Parliament from Srinagar and JKNC leader Syed Aga Ruhullah Mehdi Wednesday said there was no question of having any differences with the party leadership and that he can’t help rumour mongers from spreading rumours.
He also said that the two biggest challenges for the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led government will be to deliver on the governance and to fight for the restoration of rights snatched from people on August 5, 2019.
“See, I can’t help rumour mongers and stop them from spreading fake news. There is no question of any differences with the party leadership,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the oath taking ceremony at SKICC.
About the biggest challenges for the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led government, the MP said that the government will have to deliver and at the same time play the role of opposition.
“Government has to oppose the policies of BJP and the decision taken on August 5, 2019. The government has to fight for the restoration of rights snatched from the people of J&K and at the same time deliver on the governance front,” Ruhullah said as per news agency KNO.
About Congress staying away from the ministries, he said the party may have decided not to join the ministry, but it is very much part of the government.
“This may be the internal decision of the Congress, but they are part of the government. They may not be part of the Cabinet, but they are very much part of the administration,” the NC MP said, adding that NC won’t poke nose into the internal affairs of Congress.
Ruhullah said that INDIA alliance be that in Kashmir or rest of the country, have to fight for the people's rights and strengthen the secular ideas.
