Srinagar, Dec 24: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar Tuesday said that cold wave conditions will continue at isolated places of Jammu and Kashmir till December 26. It also predicted dry weather with light rains over plains in Jammu while light snow over higher reaches of Chenab and Pir Panchal range towards December 27 late afternoon to December 28 forenoon.

An official of Meteorological Centre Srinagar informed that from today onwards till December 26 the weather conditions will likely remain dry.

He said from December 27 to 28, there is a possibility of cloudy weather with light rain over plains of Jammu, and light snow over higher reaches of Chenab valley and Pir Panchal range towards December 27 late afternoon to December 28 forenoon.

He also said from December 29 to 30, the weather conditions likely to remain dry.

On December 31 there is a possibility of cloudy with light snow at isolated higher reaches, he said.

He added from January 1 to 3, there is a forecast of cloudy weather with light snow at isolated to scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir.

While issuing advisory, the official maintained that cold wave conditions to continue at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir till December 26.

He underlined that in view of fresh snowfall, sub-freezing temperature and icy conditions over roads of important passes and higher reaches, the tourists, travelers and transporters are advised to follow advisories from administration and traffic department.
