Srinagar, Mar 12: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday ruled out any plans to waive electricity bills for households with terminally ill patients or those belonging to the fishermen community.

In response to a query by MLA Hilal Akbar Lone, the government informed the house that in its ongoing amnesty scheme, 275,081 domestic consumers have benefited from a 100% waiver on interest surcharges on outstanding electricity bills.
