NLCO chairman felicitated for environmental conservation

Srinagar, Dec 2: Chairman Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), Manzoor Wangnoo was felicitated at the National Pollution Control Day 2024 Seminar held at Khrew today.

The event was organised by SR Foundation and People’s Welfare Trust. The event was aimed to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable practices. Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, MLA Pampore, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Wangnoo received a memento and a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his relentless efforts toward environmental conservation, particularly through initiatives under Mission Ehsaas. Speaking at the event, Wangnoo expressed gratitude and emphasized the importance of collective action in combating environmental degradation.

Wangnoo commended the collaborative efforts of SR Foundation and People’s Welfare Trust, stating, Such initiatives inspire impactful change. Together, we can address the challenges and leave behind a healthier environment for future generations.

The seminar was organised under the leadership of environmentalist Dr. Rouf Ur Rafiq, Founder-Chairman of SR Foundation. It highlighted the urgent need to tackle the significant health hazards posed by pollution in Khrew and underscored the role of community-driven solutions in creating a sustainable future.
