The meeting, held on campus, was presided over by Er. Aamir Ali Mir, Vice President of AANITS and Director of Disaster Management, J&K. It brought together key members of the alumni body, including President Prof. Mohammad Shafi Mir and Prof. M.A. Shah, Dean Alumni and International Affairs, who played a leading role in shaping the agenda. Discussions focused on expanding alumni participation, building international chapters, and developing strategic partnerships to support the institute’s Five-Year Vision Document.

The highlight of the meeting was the unveiling of SANGAM—Student-Alumni Network for Growth, Aspirations and Mentorship. The platform is envisioned as a long-term movement to connect the institute’s current students with its global alumni base through structured interactions, guidance, and knowledge exchange. Prof. Shah described the initiative as a bridge between ambition and experience, with the potential to transform the academic and professional journey of students.

A dedicated annual alumni magazine titled “Bridges and Beacons” is also in the works, with the first edition scheduled to be released at the SANGAM Meet 2025 to be held in Delhi. The publication will feature alumni journeys, campus memories, research insights, student achievements, and creative writing.
