New fire station unit set to be established at Kotranka

Rajouri, Nov 10: A new fire station unit is set to be established at Kotranka sub division headquarters.

The first fire tender from Rajouri has already been shifted to Kotranka, paving the way for enhanced fire safety measures in this remote area. According to MLA Budhal Javed Iqbal Chowdhary, this move is a historic step towards fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people from the constituency.

The area has witnessed numerous fire breakouts in Kotranka and Khawas tehsils over the past couple of years, resulting in significant losses, he said. He added that this new unit will pave way for enhanced fire safety as the unit will provide state-of-the-art equipment and trained personnel to tackle fire-related emergencies. With the fire tender already shifted from Rajouri, response times towards fire incidents are expected to improve significantly.

The establishment of the new fire station unit demonstrates the government's commitment to prioritising public safety and addressing the concerns of the community, MLA said.
