New districts will get focused attention: PM Modi on Ladakh
Srinagar, Aug 26: Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Monday termed the creation of five new districts in the Union Terrirtory of Ladakh as a "step towards better governance and prosperity."
Taking to his official X-handle, Modi while quoting the Union Home Minsiter, Amit Shah's tweet about the decision, said, "the new districts, Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang will now receive more focused attention."
While congratulating the people of Ladakh, Modi said the move would bring services and opportunities even closer to the people.
