Nepali Army appeals to foreign nationals for assistance
New Delhi, Sep 10: The Nepali Army has issued a public appeal to foreign nationals stranded in the country amid the escalating unrest, urging them to immediately seek help from nearby security personnel, The Himalayan Times newspaper reported. In a notice released by its Public Relations and Information Directorate, the Army advised foreign citizens awaiting rescue or assistance to directly approach security forces deployed in their areas.
The statement also encouraged coordination with hotels, tourism operators, and related organizations to ensure timely support for visitors caught in the crisis.
Tourists and visitors have been among the hardest hit, with several airlines suspending services and hotels struggling to accommodate stranded travellers.
