NEP-2020 workshop at SSM College concludes

Srinagar, Apr 14: The five-day workshop on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at SSM College of Engineering Parihaspora concluded on April 14, 2025, featuring an expert lecture by Prof (Dr) BS Murty, Director of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.

The conclave, which began on April 9, brought together prominent academicians and industrialists from various institutions. Notable participants included Prof. (Dr.) Mushtaq Ahmad Darzi, Dean of School of Management at University of Kashmir; Prof. (Dr.) Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqi, Chief Coordinator of NEP at University of Kashmir; and several professors from NIT Srinagar and University of Kashmir.

During the closing session, Prof. Murty provided comprehensive insights into NEP-2020, emphasizing that "India was Vishwa Guru in the past in education and will be Vishwa Guru again by giving vast choice and flexibility to students through NEP-2020."

The workshop featured extensive deliberations and valuable suggestions from all participants, including administrators and senior faculty members of SSM College of Engineering.
