Nehal Zubair strikes silver at Junior World Pencak Silat Championship
Srinagar, Dec 29: Nehal Zubair, a rising talent from Shopian has brought glory by clinching a silver medal at the prestigious 5th Junior World Pencak Silat Championship 2024, held at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi from December 18 to 22.
Competing against some of the world’s top young athletes, Nehal's remarkable performance highlighted her dedication, skill, and determination, establishing her as one of India’s brightest prospects in Pencak Silat.
This silver medal marks a significant milestone for Indian Pencak Silat, emphasising the sport's rising prominence in the country. Nehal's journey from Shopian to the international stage underscores her relentless hard work and the support she has garnered.
Mohammad Iqbal, coach of the Indian Pencak Silat Federation, expressed his pride, stating, "Nehal’s silver medal is a momentous occasion for Indian sports.
