Need double-lane road connecting Pattan, Taper, Palhalan: GM Shaheen
Srinagar, Sep 28: Janata Dal (United) Jammu & Kashmir President GM Shaheen engaged with several delegations representing different communities, social groups, and local stakeholders in Pattan. The visit turned into a platform where long-suppressed grievances of the people found a direct voice before the leadership, said a press release.
Shaheen, while listening to the people’s woes told local party leaders that “lip service will no longer suffice and that relentless”, as result-driven action is the need of the hour.
Shaheen highlighted negligence in road infrastructure. He urged Union Minister for Roads and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, to immediately sanction and execute the long-pending demand for the double-lane road connecting Pattan, Taper, and Palhalan. He termed this arterial stretch as a lifeline of north Kashmir.
