‘NC workers from Habba Kadal join PDP’

Srinagar, Sep 6: PDP Zone Haba Kadal received a boost today as dozens of National Conference (NC) workers officially joined its party at a function at the party's headquarters here.

According to a press release, the function was presided over by PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, who welcomed the new members into the party fold. The gathering was also attended by PDP State Secretary and Habba Kadal constituency candidate, Arif Laigroo, as well as Zonal President, Sameer- ul- Jameel, who along with the zonal committee hailed their’ decision to join the PDP.

Laigroo highlighted the growing support for the PDP in the Haba Kadal constituency and reiterated the party's commitment to addressing the core issues of the region, particularly skill development, health, and education.

Lateef Ahmad Bhat, former in-charge of Eidgah, Nisar Ahmad Bhat, Zahoor Ahmad Shah, Javed Ahmad Rather, Bilal Ahmad Gola, and Bilal Naikoo were among the notable entrants to the PDP during the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Mehbooba Mufti emphasszed the importance of unity and resilience in the ongoing political scenario. She stressed that the PDP's vision for a peaceful and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, with a focus on resolving people's issues and safeguarding their rights, continues to attract support from across the political spectrum.

The newly inducted members voiced their dissatisfaction with the National Conference's policies and expressed their faith in the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti and the PDP’s agenda for progress, the press release said.
