NC will never compromise on urges, aspirations of J&K people: Sajjad Shaheen

Banihal, Aug 3: National Conference (NC) leader and District President of Ramban Sajjad Shaheen today said that his party will never compromise on urges and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He reiterated the NC 's unwavering commitment to safeguarding the interests and aspirations of the region's populace.

According to a press release Sajjad Shaheen was addressing a day long working committee meeting of party's Neel block in Banihal constituency. He emphasised that the National Conference will never compromise on the urges and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the party cadres to gear up for the upcoming assembly elections, asserting that the NC remains the only political force capable of addressing the unique challenges faced by the region.

"Jammu and Kashmir has suffered tremendous losses in terms of development, with rising unemployment and a growing drug menace among the youth. These are direct consequences of the wrong policies adopted by the current dispensation," Shaheen remarked.

NC leader highlighted the party's deep-rooted connection with the people, emphasizing that the NC has always been a public movement focused on dignity, development, and peace. "The objective of the National Conference has never been power for its own sake but the well-being and progress of the state and its people," he said.

He further stated that the NC is the only party with a credible presence in all 90 Assembly constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir. He took a swipe at political opponents, stating that those claiming they will form the next government in J&K will struggle to find candidates to contest in all constituencies.

Shaheen also called on the people, particularly NC workers, to unite against forces attempting to divide the state and its people. He stressed the importance of standing together to protect the dignity and honor of Jammu and Kashmir, which have been under threat from divisive elements.

Several prominent local political activists also joined the party on the occasion and resolved to strengthen the party.
