NC sabotaged discussion on Waqf Amendment Act: Sajad Lone

Jammu, Apr 9: Peoples Conference MLA Sajad Lone Wednesday alleged that the National Conference wilfully “sabotaged discussion on the Waqf Amendment Act in the House as a part of its fixed match with BJP.”

While addressing a press conference, Lone said, “It was condemnable that the Legislative Assembly did not reflect the sentiments of only Muslim-majority State in the country against this Act. NC has sabotaged any sort of comment or censure that could have come or rejection from the people of J&K.”

In a reiteration of his dig at NC leadership, Lone said, “The Speaker, who disallowed the adjournment motion, belongs to NC. The members, who brought in the adjournment motion, were also from NC. Those who were in the Tulip Garden, they were also from NC. Which is the real NC, one fails to understand.”
