NC reviews arrangements for Sheikh Abdullah’s 120th birth anniversary
Srinagar, Nov 29: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Saturday held a series of important preparatory meetings at the party headquarters to review the arrangements for the upcoming 120th birth anniversary of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, said a party release.
It said the main commemorative event is scheduled to take place at Qaid Mazar, Naseem Bagh, Hazratbal Srinagar, where thousands of party workers, supporters, and people from diverse walks of life are expected to gather to pay homage to the towering leader.
The main meeting was chaired by District President Srinagar, Peer Afaq Ahmad, and attended by all block presidents of district Srinagar.
Addressing the gathering, Peer Afaq underscored the significance of the day and called upon party functionaries to ensure that all arrangements are executed smoothly and in a manner befitting the stature of Sher-e-Kashmir. The meeting was attended by Provincial Vice President and MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, who was the chief guest on the occasion. He urged the workers to maintain close coordination and ensure disciplined conduct during the event. He also highlighted the need to uphold the legacy of the Sher-e-Kashmir by strengthening the party’s grassroots outreach.
Meanwhile, the Party’s State Women’s Wing President and MLA Habba Kadal Shameema Firdous chaired a parallel meeting with women’s wing office-bearers and district-level functionaries at the headquarters.
