Srinagar, Nov 30: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi on Sunday released a message sent by Baramulla MP Er Rashid from Tihar Jail New Delhi through his legal counsel, in which he issued a sharp reminder to National Conference (NC) leadership over their recently passed resolutions, said a press release.

In the message, Er Rashid questioned NC’s omission of the 2006 resolution passed by Legislative Assembly that sought restoration of pre-1953 status for Jammu & Kashmir. He wrote: “A humble reminder to Omar Abdullah Sb and to his colleagues: Your party passed seven resolutions yesterday( on 28th November, 2025), but the people of J&K were left asking, why was there no mention of the 2006 Assembly resolution seeking restoration of pre-1953 status? Has NC quietly given up on this historic commitment to the people?”

Er Rashid further criticised NC’s silence on key humanitarian issues “Why was there no word on the release of political prisoners, revocation of PSA and the pain of families still waiting for justice?” he asked.

Calling for political honesty and clarity, the MP added: “The people deserve honesty, not shifting goalposts, again and again.” Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said the message reflects the deep concerns of the incarcerated MP Er Rashid and the questions being asked across Jammu & Kashmir. He added that the people expect political parties to stand by their historic commitments instead of “changing positions to suit the moment.”
