NC legislator Bashir Veeri seeks release of benefits for terminated govt employees

Jammu, Mar 17: National Conference legislator Bashir Ahmad Veeri on Monday demanded the release of pending benefits for employees, who were terminated over the past few years.

Soon after the Question Hour, Veeri rose from his seat and urged the House to address the plight of these employees' families, who, he said, were struggling to survive due to the non-release of their benefits, including GP fund.

He said that their  issue should be treated on humanitarian grounds and called for the immediate disbursement of all pending dues.
