Srinagar, Dec 6: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Friday said that the National Conference (NC)-led government was working towards fulfilling the promises outlined in the party’s manifesto.

Chairing a Working Committee meeting of the NC’s provincial functionaries at the Nawa-e-Subha party headquarters in Srinagar, CM Omar, who is also the NC Vice President said, “The civilian government is diligently working towards fulfilling the promises outlined in the manifesto, with a steadfast commitment to preserving the distinct identity of the region.”

He reassured all party members that the government was actively working toward fulfilling the commitments outlined in the party manifesto.

CM Omar emphasised the government’s steadfast dedication to tackling the developmental challenges of the past decade, with a strong focus on preserving the unique identity of the region.

He made it unequivocally clear that there could be no trade-off between the progress and dignity of the people and that both must advance hand in hand.

CM Omar reiterated his pledge to work tirelessly for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir, vowing to remain steadfast in addressing public grievances and advancing the restoration of statehood and the region’s overall development.

The meeting revolved around critical party issues and urgent public concerns.

On the occasion, he also congratulated Showkat Mir on his recent elevation to the position of NC Provincial President, Kashmir.

Additional General Secretary Mustafa Kamal, cabinet ministers Sakina Masood (Itoo) and Javed Dar, Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam Wani, party legislators, provincial committee members, and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
