NC leaders condole demise of Late Muhammad Aslam Khan’s wife

Srinagar, Aug 15: National Conference leaders have expressed grief and condolences over the demise of the wife of Late Muhammad Aslam Khan, former Chief Engineer, PDD. The deceased was mother-in-law of Safiya Abdullah Khan, daughter of NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah.

The party stands in solidarity with Asim Khan—son-in-law of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and brother-in-law of NC Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during this time of personal loss. Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, and Advisor to the HCM, Nasir Aslam Wani, attended the Namaz-e-Janaza of the departed soul at Shalimar, as per a party statement.

Later, a condolence meeting was held at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, which was chaired by Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar. Party functionaries from various wings including the Youth National Conference, Women’s Wing, Media and Social Media Cells also participated in the gathering. Fatiha prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Meanwhile, MP Mian Altaf, Aga Ruhullah beside MLA Hasnain Masoodi also condoled the demise.

Jamait Hamdani chief spokesperson GM Saqi also condoled the demise and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
