NC leader pivotal in CM Omar’s Ganderbal win appointed district president

Ganderbal, Sep 9: National Conference leader Sheikh Gayaz u Din who played a key role in Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s win from Ganderbal in the 2024 assembly elections has been given an important responsibility by the party. Sheikh Gayaz, a prominent figure in the NC cadre here, was appointed as the District President Ganderbal. Sheikh Gayaz during the elections was appointed as the constituency incharge Ganderbal and who played a key role in garnering good number of votes for party candidate Omar Abdullah.

After the elections the MLA Ganderbal Omar Abdullah also said that Sheikh Gayaz is one among the persons who should be credited for his success from Ganderbal.

Talking to Greater Kashmir, Sheikh Gayaz said that he is thankful to the party high command for trusting him with the responsibility. Gayaz said that he remains committed to work to further strengthen the party and try to resolve the issues of people of Ganderbal constituency who have expectations from their representative and the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
