Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the Assembly session, MLA Langate said that when PDP Legislator Waheed Ur Rehman Parra sought special provision to pass a resolution against the decision of August 5 of 2019, the NC members joined BJP to oppose the move.

"It was surprising how the members of the government on the Treasury Bench were supporting the BJP. We were discussing the National Conference and their manifesto," he said.He said that the BJP MLAs also realise that what happened with Jammu and Kashmir was not good but they are acting as mute spectators because of their political obligations and justify the move. "We are not given a chance to speak but we will talk in the future and we will talk in a democratic way to represent our people," he said.

"So, Waheed Parra was talking about bringing a special provision, that we bring a resolution for this. But unfortunately, we were not given a chance to speak there. Surprisingly, the National Conference was also up in arms against us. restoration of Article 370 was in their manifesto and were discussing only that," he said.

"But our elected government is yet to implement its manifesto. They do not talk about political issues, nor do they talk about developmental issues. If a government is formed, then they should work on implementation of its manifesto within a week," he said.
