NC condemns attack on Kashmiri vendors in Haryana
Srinagar, Dec 9: National Conference Monday condemned the thrashing of Kashmiri vendors at the Geeta Jayanti fair in Kurukshetra.
In his statement, party’s state Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar demanded swift and decisive action against those involved and concrete steps to put an end to such incidents. “This kind of violence and discrimination has no place in a civilized society and must be met with the full force of the law. We stand in solidarity with the victims and call for justice to be served,” he said.
Imran further said “the attacks on Muslims across the country have sadly become the new normal, our brothers from Kashmir are now facing brutal and continuous targeting by Hindutva-rightwing.” “The situation in Haryana, under the rule of the BJP government, has reached a level of utter disgrace. To the Muslim BJP leaders in our nation, especially those from Kashmir, I urge you to hang your heads in shame. It is time to either resign in protest or demand action from your government against these criminals who hide behind the facade of activism,” he said.
