NC anguished over spate of fire incidents

Srinagar, July 23: National Conference Tuesday expressed profound anguish over the recent spate of fire incidents in Uri, Rajbagh, and Mashali Mohalla areas in Kashmir province urging the administration to swiftly reach out to those affected with the necessary relief and compensation.

In a joint statement released from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, the In Charge of constituencies Zadibal, Lal Chowk, and Uri - Tanvir Sadiq, Ahsan Pardesi, and Dr Sajad Shafi Uri - expressed unwavering solidarity with those devastated by the recent fire. The leaders prayed for a swift recovery from the losses suffered.

Urging the divisional and district administration to act swiftly, they demanded the immediate deployment of revenue teams to assess the damages. Time is of the essence, and they stressed the importance of quick assessment and compensation for those affected, they said.

The leaders called upon the government to step up and provide subsidized building materials to the affected families. They also urged for temporary lodging and assistance with daily needs until these families can get back on their feet.
