NC always stood for rights of people: Chowdhary Ramzan

Kupwara, Sep 27: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and contesting candidate for Handwara assembly segment Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan has said that his party has always stood for the rights of people.

"People have now understood the fact with the result they were getting associated with NC in large number" he said. Chowdhary was speaking at an election rally in Shogpora Magam area of Handwara.

He said that people were fed with the false promises and deceptive tactics by other political parties. "People know that NC was forming the next government in Jammu and Kashmir so people across the region were coming in support of NC" he said.

The former cabinet minister said that only NC can fight for the rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir. While referring to the special status, he said that central government abrogated Article 370 but people know that NC can only fight for restoration of the special status of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.

"In this election more youth are involved in active politics and most of them are going in tandem with the ideology of National Conference which happens to be good for the region," he added.

He sought cooperation and votes from people in his favor so that he can represent them for the record fifth time in Legislative Assembly.
