Nawa Kadal school holds seminar on tribal heritage
Srinagar, Nov 18: In a spirited celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Pakhwara (national tribal pride fortnight), the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Nawa Kadal, organised a seminar on Monday to honour the invaluable contributions of tribal communities.
Renowned poet, historian, and satirist Zareef Ahmad Zareef, attended the event.
Speaking to a hall filled with inquisitive young minds, Zareef delved into the rich history of tribal culture illuminating the students on the significant role these communities play in shaping heritage and identity.
“We must cherish our roots,” Zareef urged, emphasising the importance of moral education.
Principal, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Nawa Kadal, Toyiba Tabassum, also addressed the gathering shedding light on the vibrant heritage of tribal communities.
“Understanding their legacy is a step toward embracing the diversity that defines us as a society,” she said.
The seminar concluded with a lively question-and-answer session, where students engaged with the speakers, reflecting their curiosity and admiration for the rich cultural mosaic of tribal communities.
